Job Description
Project: “Development of DNA fingerprint/Molecular markers of non-codified lead plants from NIF database”
Responsibilities:1. Procurement and processing of test material.2. Development of DNA fingerprints of lead plants.3. Procurement and management of Inventories and expenditurerecords.4. Other duties as assigned by PI.
Essential qualification: Candidate should have a PhD in Molecular biology/ Cell Biology/ Biotechnology/Biochemistry/Genomics with minimum two years research experience in plantDNA fingerprinting/ barcoding or Postgraduate degree in above areas with relevant research experience of minimum four years. The qualifications can be relaxed in exceptional cases.
Salary: Rs. 40000
Project: “TLC fingerprinting of phytochemicals present in Non-codified lead plants of NIF-India repository”
Responsibilities: 1. Procurement and processing of test material.2. Development of TLC/HPTLC fingerprints of phytochemicals of lead plants. 3. Procurement and management of Inventories and expenditure records. 4. Other duties as assigned by PI.
Essential qualification: Candidate should have a PhD in Phyto-Chemistry/ Chemistry/ Plant Sciences withminimum two years research experience in fingerprinting of herbal extracts through HPTLC/ TLC or Postgraduate degree in above areas with relevant research experience of minimum four years. The qualifications can be relaxed in exceptional cases.
Project: “Development of Nutritional Ready to Consume Eatables based on Traditional and Less Known Food Preparations”
Responsibilities: 1. Documentation of traditional and less known food preparations 2. Determination of Nutritional values of traditional food preparations 3. Development of nutritional ready to consume eatables 4. Procurement and management of Inventories and expenditure records. 5. Other duties as assigned by PI.
Essential qualification: Candidate should have a PhD in Food technology, Dairy technology, Food & Nutrition with minimum two years research experience in food analysis and food products development or Postgraduate degree in above areas with relevant research experience of minimum four years. The qualifications can be relaxed in exceptional cases.
