Title : "Genetic enhancement of cultivated okra genepool for tolerance to OYVM and OELCV through introgression of genes from wild species of Abelmoschus L".

Research Associate /01 Post

Qualification : M.Sc (Plant Breeding and Genetics, Cytogenetics, Molecular s Biology/ Biotechnology/ Agricultural biotechnology/ Botany/Life Sciences) with 4 years of Bachelor's degree with 60% marks or equivalent grade point average. Candidates having post graduate degree in Basic Sciences with 3 years Bachelor'sdegree and 2 years Master's degree should have NET/GATE or equivalent qualification• with at least two years of research experience in the relevant area of research. Desirable : Experience in field work related to growing and maintenance of crop wild relatives, wide hybridization, genetic analyses andcharacterization of genes.

Title : Development of Decision Support System for Insect and Mite Pests of Quarantine Significance to India".

Research Associate/01 Post

Qualification : Ph.D degree in Entomology; Zoology/ Plant Protection/ Life Sciences with specialization in Entomology M.Sc. (Entomology; Zoology/ Plant Protection/ Life Sciences with specialization in Entomology) with 4 years of Bachelor's degree with 60% marks or equivalent grade point average. Candidates having post graduate degree in Basic Sciences with 3 years Bachelor's degree and 2 years Master's degree should have NET/GATE or equivalent qualification*with at least two years of research experience in the relevant area of research. Desirable : Experience in data organization. Working knowledge / skills incomputer/ IT related field.
