Research Associate /01 Post

Title : DST funded Project “National Mission for Sustaining the Himalayan Ecosystem (NMSHE) Task Force 3: Forest Resource and Plant Diversity” (Co –PI – Dr. S. S. Samant)

Qualification : Ph. D. Awarded or Submitted in Botany/ Forestry/Environmental Science. Desirable : Preference will be given to the candidates having knowledge of plant nomenclature and Taxonomy; and Ph. D. in Biodiversity Conservation and Management. The Ph. D. submitted candidates if found suitable, will have to produce certificate within one month of the date of issue of appointment letter

Age : 35 years

Emoluments: Rs. 36,000

 

Senior Project Fellows (SPFs)/05 Post

Title : Himachal Pradesh “State Biodiversity Board (SBB) funded project “Development of Peoples’ Biodiversity Register of Selected Panchayats in Kullu District, Himachal Pradesh”

Qualification : First Class in M.Sc. with Botany/ Zoology/Forestry/Environmental Science/Biotechnology and two years research experience. Preference will be given to the candidates having at least two years research experience on Biodiversity Conservation, field experience, documentation skills and computer knowledge.

Age : 32 years

Emoluments: Rs 18,000

 

Junior Research Fellow / Junior Project Fellow (JRF/JPF)/01 Post

Title : NMHS- Fellowship project “Monitoring atmospheric pollutants and creation of a long term meteorological data base to assess climate change impact on apple orchards”. (PI: Dr. J. C. Kuniyal)

Qualification : First Class Masters Degree in Physics / Chemistry / Environmental Science or any other allied subject from the recognized University. Preference will be given to the candidates having work experience on ambient air quality or relevant areas.

Age : 28 years

Emoluments: Rs. 16,000
