Essential qualifications: With Doctoral Degree: Ph.D. in Zoology or Fish Physiology, Endocrinology, Reproduction or Fish Biology. Candidates who have submitted thesis can also apply, but if selected, will have to produce Ph.D. certificate before joining. Or, Master's Degree in fish biology with 4 years / 5 years of Bachelor's degree having 1st division or 60% marks or equivalent overall grade point average with at least two years of research experience as evidenced from fellowship/Associateship/Training/other engagement as circulated vide F.No. 2-9/2012-HRD dtd.25/04/2014 and F. No. Agril Edn. 6/27/2014-HRD dtd. 9th October, 2015.

Essential qualifications: Master's Degree in fish biology with 4 years / 5 years of Bachelor's degree. Candidates having post graduate degree in Basic Sciences with 3 years Bachelor's degree and 2 years Master's degree (in Zoology with fish biology as specialization) should have NET qualification. (vide ICAR notification F.No. 2-9/2012-HRD dtd.25/04/2014 and F. No. Agril Edn. 6/27/2014-HRD dtd. 9th October, 2015)
Age limit: Must not be over 28 years
Fellowship amount: For RA, Rs. 40000 + HRA (as per the University guideline) For SRF, Rs. 25000 + HRA (as per ICAR guidelines) in 1st and 2nd years and Rs. 28000 + HRA (as per ICAR guidelines) in 3rd year.
