Project Title : “Phenotyping of pulses for enhanced tolerance
to drought, heat and salinity”
No. of Vacancy : 01
Qualification : Ph.D. in Plant Physiology/ Genetics and Plant
breeding/ Bioscience with specialisation in plant abiotic stress physiology.
Desirable : Published research papers relevant to abiotic
stress tolerance in crop plants. Knowledge of experimental techniques for plant
abiotic stress physiology and statistical analysis and documentation of
experimental data. Knowledge of computer operated greenhouse and its
maintenance. Experience and willingness to work in field.
Emoluments : Rs.
40,000/ per month + 10% HRA
Senior Research
Fellow (SRF)
Project Title : “Phenotyping of pulses for enhanced tolerance
to drought, heat and salinity”

Qualification : Post graduate in Agriculture/ PG in
Engineering with specialisation in image analysis OR Two years Master’s degree
in Agriculture [M.Sc. (Ag.) Plant Physiology / Biochemistry / Genetics and
Plant Breeding with four or five year’s Bachelor’s degree. OR Three years
Master’s degree in Agriculture (M.Sc. (Ag.) Plant Physiology / Biochemistry /
Genetics and Plant Breeding with three years Bachelor’s degree with 60% marks
or equivalent OGPA OR Two years Master’s degree in Basic Sciences (Biochemistry
/ Botany/Genetics / Life Sciences) with 3 years Bachelor’s degree with 60%
marks or equivalent OGPA. Candidate must have NET qualifications (CSIR-NET /
DBT – BET/ GATE / ICAR- Ph.D Tests / ICMR-JRF / DOP-GPAT)
Desirable : Experience in image processing and knowledge of
SCADA system, controlled environment system.
Emoluments : Rs.
25,000/per month + 10% HRA for 1st & 2nd year while Rs. 28,000/per month +
10% HRA for 3rd year

Fellow (SRF)
Project Title : “Conservation agriculture for enhancing
resource-use efficency, environmental quality and productivity of sugarcane
cropping system”

Qualification : Post graduate in Agronomy/ Soil Science &
Agricultural Chemistry/ M.Sc. (Agri.) with specialization in Agrometeorology/
Agricultural Physics
Desirable : Experience of conducting/ monitoring research
trials especially in the areas of conservation/ precision agriculture. Good
practical knowledge on field and laboratory methods/ protocols for various
soil, plant and water parameters Good knowledge of computer and statistical
analysis.
Emoluments : Rs.
25,000/per month + 10% HRA for 1st & 2nd year while Rs. 28,000/per month +
10% HRA for 3rd year
Field Assistant

15,000/- consolidated
Age Limit : The maximum age for Field Assistant and SRFs will be 35 years for men and 40 years for women and for RA will be 40 years for men and 45 years for women (relaxation in age as per GOI/ ICAR norms). The age will be computed from the date of Test/Interview.
