Job Description
NASF scheme :“Chemical, structural and functional characterization of identified anti-tick lead phytochemicals and optimization of delivery matrix for effective application of natural formulation for the control of acaricide resistant ticks”.
Research Associate-1
Qualification : Master's degree in Biotechnology/ Biochemistry with 4 years / 5 years of Bachelor's degree having 1st division or 60% marks or equivalent overall grade point average. OR Master's degree in Biotechnology/ Biochemistry/Animal Sciences, NET qualified having 03 years research experience. OR Doctoral degree in Biotechnology/ Biochemistry. Research experience: 02 years in the relevant field as evidenced from Fellowship/Associateship and supported by publications having high impact factor. Experience in handling arthropods genome, sequence data analysis, hand-on experience on use of different molecular biology tools for cloning and characterization of parasite/tick genes. Candidates having hand-on experience on use of real time PCR and microarray techniques will be given preference. Use of statistical tools for data analysis, reporting and publication.
Research Associate-2
Qualification : Doctoral degree in Zoology/Entomology. OR Master's degree in Zoology/Entomology with 4 years / 5 years of Bachelor's degree having 1st division or 60% marks or equivalent overall grade point average OR Master's degree in Zoology/Entomology, NET qualified having 03 years research experience as evidenced by Fellowship/Associateship and supported by publications having high impact factor. Hand-on experience on rearing and maintenance of tick lines.
Screening of compounds by invitro and in-vivo methods. Handling of large and small animals, Characterization of acaricide resistance, ultra-thin tissue sectioning and processing. Use of statistical tools for data analysis, reporting and publication.
