Qualification : Post graduate with more than 60% or equivalent
OGPA and specialisation in Plant Physiology / Genetics / Plant breeding / Plant
Biochemistry with minimum 2 years experience in Plant Phenotyping research or
Ph.D. in Plant Physiology/ Genetics / Plant breeding/ Bioscience with
specialisation in plant stress physiology Only those with experience in
research on drought/heat tolerance in plants as supported by published research
and those with experience in plant phenotyping in controlled environment
/experimental field should apply for this position
Desirable : Published research papers in journals with
>6 NAAS rating and are relevant to abiotic stress tolerance in crop plants
Knowledge of experimental techniques for plant stress physiology and proof of
knowledge about statistical analysis and documentation of experimental data
Knowledge of computer operated greenhouse and its maintenance. Experience and
willingness to work in field and provide fortnightly report and presentation
Emoluments : Rs.40,000/- + 10% HRA for Doctoral Degree
Holders and Rs.38,000/- + 10% HRA for Master Degree Holders
Age Limit : 40 years for men and 45 years for women
(relaxation in age as per GOI/ ICAR norms). The age will be computed till the
date of Test/Interview.
