Research Associates – Knowledge Transfer
No. Of Post: 4 positions
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in all aspects of curriculum design, including ideation, creation of content and assessment for teacher educators, teachers and students.
- Create and curate relevant resources for teacher educators.
- Coordinate with implementing teams of the three partner countries and other internal teams (teacher professional development, technology, project management, communication, research etc.) on various aspects (technical, pedagogical and research).
- Design and facilitate communities of practice (mobile based groups) of science teachers.
- Assist piloting, implementation and research.
- Draft and write reports and literature reviews.
- Source and index research papers.
Qualifications: Applicants must have a degree (B.Ed./M.A (Ed)./MEd) in education/social sciences combined with a postgraduate/graduate degree in science/ mathematics / engineering or in similar fields. Candidate pursuing their PhD in Education or allied fields would be preferred.
Experience: Two years of relevant experience of having worked on research projects or teaching experience.
Skills and competencies required:
- Command on knowledge in science or mathematics (including ability to conduct experiments in school science, scientific temper and interest in history and nature of science)
- A good pedagogical sense in science or math education.
- Ability to leverage technology for work such as use of Google Drive, Learning Management Platforms such as Google Classroom, Edx, etc.
- Good communication and writing skills.
- Ability to handle tasks independently and meet deadlines.
- Willingness to learn data analysis, drafting research papers and reports and a range of production tasks.
Duration: 8 months: May to December, 2021
Remuneration : In the range of 30,000 to 40,000 depending upon qualification and experience.
Location: Mumbai/Pune
Application fee: The application fee of Rs 1000/- to be paid online. The SC/ST/PWD candidates are required to pay fees of Rs. 250/- if they attach the required certificate to the online application form. The women candidates are waived from the payment of application fees. The application will be valid only on receipt of the application fee for those who are required to pay.
