Role Summary

You will work at the SHL Research and Development Centre in Gurgaon. The research group is a leader in developing cutting-edge assessments to grade open-response questions. Some of the achievements:

The group has been constantly publishing in the high-impact conferences in the field of ML: KDD, NIPS, ACL, AAAI as well as in the field of education and HCI: SigCSE, EDM, UbiComp . The complete list of publications can be seen here.
The group has conceptualized and designed products to automatically evaluate spoken English and grade programming assessments.
The group launched the first-ever motor skill assessment application which is powered by ML. Our tool Automata is the only ML powered programming assessment tool in the world.

Job Responsibilities

The individual will work as a part of the research group at SHL in developing solutions to real-world problems using state of the art machine learning techniques, computer science concepts, and statistical assessments.
As a part of this team, you will understand the kind of problems we are interested in translating them into computer science problems
Understand the state of the art in related areas in academia and industry and cross-apply multiple research findings to develop new products or enhance our current products.

Desired Skills And Experience

Strong computer science concepts with great programming skills.
Good computer science projects/ coding experience.
Exposure to machine learning is a plus.
