Research Fellow/Research Associate job vacancies in Punjab Agricultural University on contract basis

Project Title  : “Programme support of enhancing durability of resistance to biotic stresses in selected cereal and fibre crops through biotech approaches, CSS-5 (PC-6160) Part D: Project 3: Transfer and mapping of cotton leaf curl disease resistance from G. arboreum to G. hirsutum”.

Qualification : B.Sc. Agri. (Hons.)/ B.Sc.(Biotechnology)/B.Sc. with minimum OCPA 6.00/10.00 basis or 60 % marks. M.Sc. in Plant Breeding/Plant Breeding and Genetics/Genetics (Crop Plants)/Biotechnology with minimum OCPA of 6.50/10.00 basis or 65% marks.

Ph. D in the relevant field with minimum OCPA 6.50/10.00 or 65% marks.

Note-1: The candidate who does not possess Master’s degree in the relevant subject but possesses Ph.D Degree in the discipline required at Master’s level, shall be eligible for the post.

Note-2: Candidates having post-graduate degree in basic sciences with three years Bachelor’s degree and 2 years Master’s degree should have NET qualification and two years research experience.

If the candidate with Ph.D are not available, then the position will be filled at a lower scale of Rs.25000/- per month + HRA as per qualifications given below for the position of Junior Research Fellow.

B.Sc. Agri. (Hons.)/ B.Sc.(Biotechnology)/B.Sc. with minimum OCPA 6.00/10.00 basis or 60 % marks.

M.Sc. in Plant Breeding/Plant Breeding and Genetics/Genetics (Crop Plants)/Biotechnology with minimum OCPA of 6.50/10.00 basis or 65% marks.

Pay Scale  :  Rs. 36,000
