Department of Political Science, Central University of Haryana is organizing a 10 days workshop on “Research Methodology” during 12th – 21st March 2018  Sponsored By Indian Council of Social Science Research (ICSSR) Delhi

Research Scholars of Social Sciences who are registered in any university/ college/ institution pursuing M.Phil/Ph.D. can apply for this workshop

The objective of the workshop is to provide exhaustive knowledge of latest research techniques to young research scholars of Social Sciences. The workshop is designed in such a manner so as to train the young and inquisitive minds for enabling them to produce a high quality research work having applicability beyond the research settings.

Types of Research: Historical, Analytical, Interdisciplinary, Evaluative, Participatory and Action Research

Research Process: Research Problem and its identification, guidelines and format for writing research proposal

Eligibility : All registered M.Phil/Ph.D scholars from any recognized Indian university/research institutes/colleges from any branch of Social Sciences may send their application. The candidate should have basic knowledge of statistics and computer application. Selected candidates would be informed 10 days in advance of commencing the workshop.

Intake: The maximum intake for the Course shall be 30 seats (20 outstation and 10 within university). Those who have attended any such type of program sponsored by either UGC or ICSSR are discouraged to apply . Leave will not be allowed during the workshop. The selection committee will select the participants for the course, based on the stage of their research work, write-up in 500 words about your research. The applicants should send the application form duly certified by the Dean/HOD/Supervisor. The selected participants are requested to bring their own Laptops to get hands-on experience on the statistical software during the Course. 

Registration Fee, TA and Accommodation: There is no registration fee for the Course. Boarding and lodging are also free for the participants. Accommodation to out station participants will be provided. Travelling allowances (TA) is payable only for sleeper class/ Normal Bus fare as per ICSSR rules and Guide Lines for the shortest route. The participants, to claim TA should present original tickets.
