Research Scientist Hydrology recruitment in North Eastern Space Applications Centre
Project: North Eastern Region Node for Disaster Risk Reduction (NER-DRR)
Research Scientist Hydrology /01 Post
Qualification: M.E/M.Tech (Water Resources/Hydrology) or M.Tech/M.Sc in Remote Sensing with specialization in Hydrology/water resources or equivalent with Pre-Qualification of B.E./ B.Tech (Civil Engineering) .
Desired Credentials :Experience in Water Resources / Hydrology area with working knowledge of HEC-HMS, FLO-2D, MIKE FLOOD, SWAT, RS & GIS, etc.
Research Scientist Information Technology (Geoweb Services)/ 01 Post
Qualification: M.E/M.Tech in Computer Science/IT/Geoinformatics / Remote Sensing or equivalent with Pre-Qualification of B.E./ B.Tech (CS/IT)
Desired Credentials: 1. Knowledge of Web services/ Technologies such as Javascript/HTML5/Jquery/XML etc. 2. Spatial Web geo-processing and analysis. 3. Adequate knowledge and experience in Spatial Database Management System, preferably in PostgreSQL/Post GIS. 4. Experience in Mapserver, Geoserver, Geonetwork and Openlayers based mapping frameworks.

Qualification: M.Sc/ M.Tech in Geology / Applied Geology/ Geophysics or equivalent with Pre- Qualification of B.Sc with Geology as Major / Honors subject 1) Experience in Remote Sensing / microwave remote sensing data interpretation and analysis. 2) Experience in Geo-Hazard (earthquake, landslide) related work 3) Working knowledge in Modeling and data processing related to geo-hazard.
Pay Scale : Rs. 15600- 39100
Eligibility: Note: 1 ME/M.Tech or equivalent or equivalent post graduate degree in 1st class with an aggregate minimum of 60% or CGPA/CPI grading of 6.84 on a 10 scale or equivalent with pre-eligibility qualification of BE/B.Tech/B.Sc (Engg.)/M.Sc or equivalent qualification in 1st class with an aggregate minimum of 65% (average of all semesters) or CGPA/CPI grading of 6.84 on a 10 scale. 2. M.Sc degree should be in first class with an aggregate minimum of 65% (average of all semesters) or CGPA/CPI grading of 6.84 on a 10 scale or equivalent. 3. Rounding-off marks/CGPA Grading is not allowed.
Age Limit: 35 years as on 16.01.2017
Selection Process: The qualification prescribed is the minimum requirement and possession of the same does not automatically make the candidates eligible to be called for interview.
