All India Institute of Medical Sciences Raipur (AIIMS Raipur) invites application for the position Research Scientist-I (Medical)

Consolidated Fixed Salary (per month): Rs. 65,000/-
Nature of Employment: Contractual
Duration of Employment: One Year (12 Months) extendable to two years, depending on the candidate’s performance and budget grant from the funding agency.
Job Location: State-level VRDL, Department of Microbiology, AIIMS, Raipur
Essential Qualifications: MBBS recognized by MCI and MD/DNB in Microbiology from a recognized university.
Desirable Qualifications:
i. Research / diagnostic experience in Viral Diagnosis/ Molecular Biology Techniques/ Infectious disease outbreak/ field experience of management of viral disease outbreak of minimum two years.
ii. Knowledge of Computer Applications (Word, Powerpoint, Excel, Sequence phylogenetic analysis software, Business Intelligence tools, Data Management. Working knowledge of molecular bioinformatic tools like Bio edit, BLAST, Primer and Probe designing, phylogenetic analysis and sequence will be preferred.
iii. Two years R&D / Teaching experience in relevant subject after obtaining essential qualification
Job description:
a. Real time assessment of any viral outbreak, if occur in Chhattisgarh.
b. Coordination with state health personal in control measurement of any viral outbreak.
c. Bench work related to various viral diagnosis and research.
d. Completion of any work assigned by PI and Co-PI in smooth functioning of VRDl.
e. Conducting trainings and workshops for Medical colleges of Chhattisgarh.
f. Writing research articles for publication in reputed journals.
g. Participating in research projects sanctioned.
h. Writing new research projects and working on it.
i. Supervision and management of other staff employed in VRDL.
Age Limit: 25-40 yrs
