Research Scientists recruitment in National Remote Sensing Centre (NRSC-ISRO)
Post No.TRS1
Qualification : B.E./B.Tech in CSE/ECE/IT. should be in First Class with an aggregate of 65% marks (average of all semesters) or CGPA of 6.84 on a 10 Point scale.
Desirable : Candidates will be preferred with working knowledge/ certification / PG degrees in one or more of the following: Software development in web applications technologies using javascript, HTML, Object Oriented languages/PHP, Client-server & web architectures. Knowledge & Experience in RDBMS, UML, XML, Web Designing, customization, free/open source GIS products. Systems hardware & OS/LAN/ WAN/Network storage/ Backup/ Security/Middleware. Application security and performance testing and tuning, web application testing. Database design/Database administration /Enterprise databases/Spatial databases/ Database security. GIS, DB performance monitoring and tuning. Image processing on satellite products using Object Oriented languages, image processing software development, knowledge in open source image processing libraries.

Qualification : BE/B.Tech/MSc. in Geo-Informatics / Geomatics/ Remote Sensing/ equivalent should be in First Class with an aggregate of 65% marks (average of all semesters) or CGPA of 6.84 on a 10 Point scale.
Desirable : Candidates will be preferred with working knowledge/ certification / PG degrees in one or more of the following:Satellite Image processing/analysis using commercial /Open source softwares, Data Collection, database management and satellite data value addition. Digital Photogrammetric algorithm development, Photogrammetry. Desktop & Server GIS/ Geospatial database creation, schema design & Implementation . Open source and commercial GIS/Image processing softwares with thematic applications, GNSS technologies, GAGAN and its applications in location based services in various sectors including consumer sectors and the resource management, environment, Agriculture etc. GNSS technologies and its applications with ability to formulate projects in various sectors.

Selection Process : The Qualification prescribed is the minimum requirement and possession of the same does not automatically make the candidate eligible to be called for interview. There will be an initial screening based on the academic performance and other parameters given in the online application and only those who are screened-in will be called for interview. Selection will be made based on performance in the interview.
Place of Posting : The selected candidates are likely being posted at NRSC - Earth Station, Shadnagar campus, Mahabubnagar District, Telangana State or at NRSC, Hyderabad. However, NRSC reserves the right to post the candidates anywhere in India as and when required.

National Remote Sensing Agency (NRSA) was established as a registered society on 2nd September 1974 by Department of Science & Technology, based on a Union Cabinet approval dated December 13, 1973. The objective of organisation being undertaking and facilitating remote sensing activities in the country. Since the initial emphasis was on aerial surveys, NRSA took over the works and functions of Research Flight Facility of the Ministry of Defence. The NRSA Society's governing body was chaired by none other than the then Prime Minister of India, Mrs. Indira Gandhi. NRSA started functioning from hired premises in Secunderabad, Andhra Pradesh from mid April 1975.
