Job Description

  • 'MANAGER - MARKETING & SALES'
  • Location :  (Kolkata)
  • Candidate should be B.E. (M.tech.); MBA Marketing. with 10-12 years of experience in handling Sales & Marketing. 
  • Functions in a reputed Automobiles Component/Bearing Industries. Should have sound knowledge of handling of customers and Sales market.
Roles & Responsibilities
  • Planning the sales target of the company to meet customers requirement, active participation in PPC to match capacity of production with customer requirement. Increase profitability with higher sales of high coverage bearings.
  • Continuous customer interaction to enhance  SOB.
  • Addressing Quality issues by  Laisioning with QA of ABC & Customer.
  • Follow up new development of bearings.
  • Visit customers regularly for better understanding of the customer’s perception, requirements and creating confidence in us.
  • Monitor dispatches to customers, depots and transports go down and ensure that there are no stock outs at customer end. Ensure no excessive material is billed / stocked at godown / depot.
  • Close liaison with production and procurement department based on feedback from customers, indicating trend and production pace at customers end.
  • Close association with accounts department in resolving payment collections, Tax forms, debit & credit notes if any, Supplementary invoice payments, PO & Schedule generation ,Price increase initiation to PO generation
  • Monitor the activities of our competitors in the market and at the customer end obtain data and keep a track of our SOB.
  • Monitor and analyse the production activities of all our customers to see whether the trend is in line with our schedule and SOB.
  • Regularly monitor  regional offices for sale & collection data.
  • Monitor all customer complaints and ensure the complaints are properly investigated and CADA is sent to the customer as soon as possible but before due date.
  • Coordinate with concerned departments in the factory to resolve outstanding quality/Supply issues if any related to customers.
  • Close associations in annual budgeting, setting company & department level goals targets & policies and its implementations.
  • New product & customer development.
  • Sales forecasting for next immediate month part wise and initiated the process to identify on tentative requirement for further next two months sales requirement.
  • Prioritizing the production sequence based on the feedbacks on stocks, in-warding trend, and production variation at customers place.
  • Daily & weekly dispatches to customers & go downs through sales back office.
  • Zone wise & customer wise & bearing wise sales, including, quality concerns.
  • Initiations for actions based on above points.
  • Monthly production at customer end.
  • Competitors activity at customer end (new products, in-warding trend, shortages etc)
  • Data / information related to industry through media.
  • Continuous monitoring on sales & collections as well as annual budget & company goals through reviews, formal & informal discussions.
  • Coordination & communication
  • Short falls & critical bearings with PPC.
  • Quality related issues with Q.A. & Production.
  • Decisions on priorities for criticality at customer end based on the components availabilities as well as machine availabilities with production after necessary discussion with concern personal at plant.
  • Feedbacks to customers / zonal offices / plant on criticality / issues.
  • Response to mails received from internal & external customers.
  • Initiating the actions with concern departments at plant in resolving the issues related to customers. (PPAP, Q.A, New product etc)
  • Updating management regularly / need base on important matters on activities
