The Hitachi ABB Power Grids Operations Center (INOPC) is a competence center with around 1400 skilled engineers who focus on tendering, engineering, planning, procurement, functional system testing, installation supervision and commissioning. However, over the last decade, it has evolved to become the largest engineering hub. The India Operations Centre is a key aspect of the Power Grids business Power Up transformation program. The INOPC team at Chennai supports Hitachi ABB Power Grid’s units in more than 40 countries across a wide portfolio of all the four business units in Power Grid business. To date, the team has executed engineering and commissioning for projects in more than 80 countries.

Your Responsibilities
  • Build, lead and develop a team of Sales Operations support specialists to provide remote support to the BL and HUB sales leadership.
  • In charge of the development and maintenance of reports and dashboards (in particular, but not limited to, Salesforce.com and SalesBI) as well as related user training.
  • Supporting the monthly/quarterly review cycle by preparing templates and reporting packages and ensuring their timely distribution.
  • Extracts and analyzes data from sales/financial tools and other relevant sources to identify trends and measure the progress of specific activities or initiatives.
  • Supporting sales leader’s decision making with ad-hoc analysis and studies.
  • Definition, measurement and interpretation of key Sales KPIs (target achievement, tender backlog, pipeline development, etc) as well as data quality KPIs.
  • Support the BL and HUBs in deploying global tools and increasing adoption, e.g. Salesforce.com best practices
  • Provide document management and information sharing solutions (e.g. by creation and administration of M&S team Sharepoints).
  • Responsible to continuously improve process performance and data quality.
  • Assures application of HITACHI ABB Powergrids standards and guidelines as well as leveraging industry best practices.

Your background
  • A Bachelor degree in Engineering or related discipline.
  • At least 5 years of experience in Sales Operations or Sales Support or similar roles.
  • Strong skills in: Excel, PowerPivot, Power Query, Salesforce.com, PowerBI, PowerPoint, Sharepoint
  • Knowledge of HITACHI ABB tools and applications preferred.
