Department of Physics :

1)M.Sc. (Physics) Programme lays thrust on fundamental and applied Physics as well as provides advanced topics of recent interest towards R & D.

2)The Department of Physics is involved in teaching of UG and PG courses of Engineering. In addition, the Department offers Ph.D Programme in various areas of Physics. 

3)The Department has highly qualified and experienced faculty having collaboration with various institutions across the globe. 

4)The Department has a number of ongoing as well as completed R & D projects sponsored by UGC, DST, CSIR, DAE-BRNS and IGCAR. 

5)Areas of research include Nanomaterials, Glasses and Glass Ceramics, Ferro Electrics, Magnetic materials, Polymers, Sensors, Computational Physics, Photovoltaic, Supercapacitors & Optoelectronic devices. 

Department of Chemistry : 

1)M.Sc. (Chemistry) Programme emphasises on concept-theory-practical based training and skill development to promote & buildup research interest among students.

2)Till date, over 55 students have got their Ph.D in various areas of research like Conducting polymers, Nanocomposites, degradation of Lignin, Molecular Imprinting, modification of Rubber, Microwave - Reactions, Metal complexes, Biophysical Chemistry, Photocatalysis and Sensors. 

3)The faculty members of the Department are actively handling research projects sponsored by UGC, MHRD, DST, CSIR and DAE. 

4)Department of Chemistry is supported by DST - FIST.

Department of Mathematics : 

1)The M.Sc. (Mathematics) Programme is intended to offer a balanced combination of pure and applied courses of Mathematics. It also emphasizes advanced development in the field of Analysis, Algebra, Scientific Computing, Fluid Mechanics and Mathematical Physics. It provides an opportunity to the students who are interested in Mathematics and wish to pursue a professional career in teaching, research and other fields of interest. 
2)The Department offers facilities for research leading to Ph.D degree in Mathematics. Faculty members are having research collaborations with different national and international institutions. 
3)The Department has accomplished research projects sponsored by UGC, DST and DAE-NBHM.
