Job Description
Two purely temporary and co-terminus post of Scientific Administrative Assistant/ Field worker under the DBT sponsored project on “Mainstreaming of Sesame germplasm for productivity enhancement through genomics assisted core development and trait discovery”.
Essential qualification : 1) Graduate degree in any discipline
Desirable qualification : 1) Graduate in Agriculture / Botany 2) One year working experience in field work, plant data recording. 3) Willingness to attend crossing work in early morning hours. 4) One year working experience in administrative, store work of central government pattern. 5) Good working knowledge of preparation of all type of bills. 6) Knowledge of MS Office and good typing skills.

In an unprecedented initiative, NBPGR, for the first time, has characterized and evaluated (preliminary) entire germplasm of wheat (22000 accessions comprising T. aestivum, T. durum and T. dicoccum) conserved in the National Genebank, at three locations in during Rabi 2011-12. At CCS HAU, Hisar, the wheat accessions have been characterized under optimum conditions. Data on 32 agro-morphological characters are used to develop a core-set.
