Scientific Officer-D/Scientific Officer-E in IPR Recruitment 2020

Scientific officer - D.

1. Essential Qualification/ Experience Ph.D. in Physics or Engineering, in area related to Plasma Science Technolow. AND Either an M.Sc. in Physics (wi minimum 60% marks) or B.Tech./B.E. in Electrical/ Mechanical/ Electronics/ Chemical Engineering (with minimu 60% marks). AND Publications in reputed international refereed journals during PhD.

2. Pay Level: Level 11 of Pay Matrix (7th CPC) at starting Basic Pay of 67700 /-.

3. Desirable Qualification: (Research Experience) (A) Ph.D. thesis work should include an one or more of the following areas: (A-I) Design and/or Operation of plasma based experimental systems such Filamentary discharge, Glow Discharge, RF Discharge Plasma, Thermal Plasma, High enerU pulsed power driven plasma, tokamak/stellarator, etc., including their ressure mechanical vacuum high pressure/ mechanical. subsystems. Hands on experience development/ use of one or more plasma diagnostics such as electric probe, magnetic probe, spectroscopy, laser optics, interferometry, etc. (A-2) Design and development Of technologies used for plasma experiments such as RF or NBI heating systems, high ultra- voltage power supplies, vacuum systems, etc. (A-3) i) Plasma Theory ii) Plasma modelling and simulation iii) Computational plasma science iv) Fusion theory or any other areas of recent advancement in Plasma Science & Technology.

Scientific officer - E.

1. Essential Qualification/ Experience:a) Ph.D. in Physics or Engineering, an area related to Plasma Science Techn0104,' AND b) Either an M.Sc. in Physics (wi minimum 60% marks) B.Tech./B.E. Electrical/ Mechanical/ Electronics / (wi Engineering Chemical minimum 60% marks). AND reputed c) Publications international refereed journals during Ph.D. AND d) Minimum four year post-Ph.D. research experience in the field of Plasma Science & Technolow.

2. Pay Level: Level 12 of Pay Matrix (7th CPC) at tartin Basic Pay of 78800/ -

3. Desirable Qualification: (A) Ph.D. thesis work should include an one or more of the following areas: (A- 1) Design and/or Operation of plasm based experimental systems such Filamentary discharge, Glow Discharge, RF Discharge Plasma, Thermal Plasma, High pulsed power drive plasma, tokamak/ stellarator, etc. vacuum hi their including their vaccum high pressure/ mechanical subsystems. Hands on experience in use of one o more plasma diagnostics such a electric probe, magnetic laser spectroscopy, interferometry, etc. probe, optics, (A-2) Design and development o used for plasm technologies experiments such as RF or NBI hea systems, high voltage power supplies ultra-high vacuum systems, etc. (A-3) i) Plasma Theory ii) Plasma modelling and simulation iii) Computational plasma science iv) Fusion theory or any other areas Of recent advancement in Plasma Science & Technology (B) At least one-year Post-Doctoral research experience in areas relevant to Fusion Science & such as Plasma Surface Interaction/ Plasma Mater Interaction/ Charged particle Beams generation, acceleration/ Neutronics/Neutron Generation etc. with adequate knowledge in different plasma diagnostics.
