Job Description
ICRISAT seeks applications from Indian Nationals for the post of Scientific Officer. The position is based at selected districts of Andhra Pradesh and reports to Senior Scientist – IRRI.
Competencies: Fluency in both written and spoken Telugu and English. Well versed with computer operations and digitized reporting. People with flair for field work, group interactions and suitable experience will be preferred. Proficiency in Computer skills (MS-Office, data analysis). Working in inter-disciplinary team in multicultural and multinational environment and the ability to interact with partner organizations.
Requirements: M.Sc (Ag.) in Agronomy or related sciences. Preference will be given to candidate having experience in conducting field experiments and demonstrations in farmer fields in a farmers’ participatory mode. Experience on working with rice/farm mechanization/direct-seeded rice in farmers’ fields is more desirable
