Scientist - B (Medical) Job Opportunity in Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR)
Essential Qualifications: MBBS degree from College/ University recognized by Medical Council of India with two years R&D/ Teaching Experience.
Desirable:
(i) Additional Post-Doctoral degree with (MD/MS/DNB) research / teaching experience in the relevant subjects (Medicine / Surgery / Pediatrics / Community medicine, Radiotherapy, Pathology, Gynae and Obs, Family medicine and other related) in recognized institute(s);
(ii) Knowledge of Computer Applications / Data management
(iii) Training in Public health / Epidemiology / research methodology
(iv) Post Graduate Qualification in Epidemiology or Public Health (MAE / MPH /MSc / Ph. D etc.) or 2 years’ experience in cancer or other NCD Epidemiology/Health Programme etc.
No. of Vacancies & Reservation Category: Two Posts (1 Post – UR 1 Post - SC)
Age Limit: Not exceeding 35 years for General Category candidates against the unreserved post and 40 years for SC Category candidates against the reserved post for SC (including 5 years of age relaxation for SC candidates) as on the last date mentioned above.
Pay matrix: Pay Matrix Level: 10 of 7 th CPC of Rs. 56100- 177500 + allowance as admissible under ICMR Rules
Application fee: Rs. 500/- (Rupees five Hundred only) payable in favour of “The Director, NCDIR, Bengaluru” should be enclosed alongwith application and should reach to this office on or before closing date. The SC/ST/Women/physically handicapped candidates (PH) are exempted from the application fee. All other / ICMR employees are not exempted from the payment of application fee.
Method of Selection: Selection for above posts will be through a Written Test and Personal Discussion/Interview.
