Scientist ‘B’ recruitment at the ICMR’s National Institute for Research in Tuberculosis,
Chennai
Scientist ‘B’ (Immunology) /1 OBC
Essential Qualification: MBBS recognized by MCI with 2 years experience in the field of Immunology/ Biotechnology/ Molecular Biology
or 1st class Master’s degree in Immunology/Biotechnology/Molecular Biology from a recognized University
or 2nd class M.Sc. + Ph.D degree in Immunology/ Biotechnology/Molecular Biology from a recognized University.
Desirable Qualification: (i) Doctorate in Immunology/Biotechnology/Molecular Biology or MD/DM in Immunology/Biotechnology/Molecular Biology from a recognized university for candidates with first class in relevant Masters’ degree. (ii) Additional Post Doctoral research/teaching experience in Immunology/ Biotechnology/Molecular Biology in recognized institute (s) (iii) Knowledge of Computer Applications / Data Management. (iv) Two years R&D/Teaching experience in relevant subject after obtaining essential qualification.
Notes: (i) Ph.D. or MD/DM in Immunology/Biotechnology/Molecular Biology shall be treated equivalent to three years experience respectively. (ii) Candidates with MD/DM or Ph.D. will be preferred for direct recruitment.
Scientist ‘B’ (Statistics) /1 OBC
Essential Qualification: First Class Master’s degree in Statistics from a recognized university. Or Second class M.Sc.in Statistics + Ph.D. in Statistics from a recognized University.
Desirable qualification: (i) Doctorate in Statistics from a recognised University. (ii) Additional Post doctoral research/teaching experience in Statistics in recognized institute(s) (iii) Knowledge of Computer Applications or Business Intelligence tools/Data Management. (iv) Two years R & D in health research/Teaching experience in Statistics after obtaining essential qualification.
Notes: 1) Ph.D. degree in Statistics shall be treated equivalent to three years experience. 2) Candidates with Ph.D. degree will be preferred for direct recruitment.
Pay Scale: Rs.15600-39100
Age limit: Not exceeding 35 years.
Application Fee: Crossed Indian Postal Order (IPO) or Demand Draft from a nationalized bank for Rs.500/- (Rupees Five hundred only) payable to the Director, National Institute for Research in Tuberculosis, Chennai. SC/ST/women and physically handicapped candidates (PH) are exempted from the application fee.
