Scientist Job opportunity In India Meteorological Department on deputation (including short-term contract) basis

Scientist ‘E’

Qualification :Master’s Degree in Science from a recognized university in Physics or Mathematics or Meteorology or Atmospheric Science equivalent subject, relevant to the field with at least 60% marks at the qualifying degree level. Or M.Tech. in Atmospheric Science/Atmospheric Physics from a recognized university with at least 60% marks at the qualifying degree level. Experience: - Eleven years’ experience in relevant field. Desirable: - Doctorate in relevant field. Notes i) Doctorate Degree will count as three years’ experience.

Qualification : Master’s Degree in science from a recognized university in Physics or Electronics & Instrumentation or Electronics and Communication with at least 60% marks at the qualifying degree level. or Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Technology from a recognized University in Electronics & Instrumentation or Electronics and Communication Engineering or any other relevant discipline in Electronics Engineering and Instrumentation with at least 60% marks at the qualifying degree level. Experience: - Eleven years’ experience in relevant field. Desirable: - Masters Degree from a recognised university in Engineering or Technology or Doctorate in relevant field. Notes i)Doctorate Degree will count as three years’ experience.

Experience: - Eleven years’ experience in the relevant field, especially in data/Image processing, Remote Sensing and satellite Meteorology/Satellite Data. Desirable: - Masters Degree in Engineering / Technology or Doctorate in the relevant field from a recognized University.

Selection Process : The prescribed essential qualifications are minimum requirements and the mere possession of the same does not entitle candidates to be called for interview. If the numbers of applications, received in response to advertisement are large, it will not be convenient or possible to call all candidates for interview. Hence, India Meteorological department may restrict the number of candidates to be called for interview before Selection Board to the reasonable limit through screening process.
