The Marketplace Content Enrichment team aims to drive relevant traffic to items listed on the Sears Marketplace. We craft SEO-enriched product copy with a sharp focus on enhancing members’ shopping experience. The overall tone of the copy is informative, ‘non-salesy’ and free from superlatives and clichés. SEO keywords are deftly added in very specific formats to ensure good organic search volumes. SEO writers enhance the copy by centering the voice on lifestyle and feature/benefit aspects of the products.

Skills Required :

Excellent Written & Spoken English
Expert in use of MS Office Suite
Content Management
Précis and Summary Writing knowledge
Knowledge of US English
Self-motivated, hunger for success, creative and critical thinker
Knowledge of well-known writing styles like Associated Press and The Chicago Manual of Style
Degree in Journalism / Mass Communication
Basic understanding of search engines, user experience, online customer behavior, web analytics and SEO
Knowledge of basic photo-editing
Ability to suggest illustrations / graphics as part of content development

Primary Role :

The candidate will be responsible for content creation across multiple disciplines
The tasks include:

Repurposing content from multiple sources
Generating fresh content through interactions with stakeholders

The candidate will be responsible for updating and maintaining a channel or channels on industry specific web portals, write SEO compliant product descriptions and other content types per project requirement
The candidate will be part of a larger team and work with the stakeholders to develop compelling content for websites and online marketing collaterals
