Nationals (Male & Female), who meet with the requirements stipulated herein
for the post Security Agent on a Fixed Term Contract basis for a period of
Three years at Thiruvananthapuram and Kannur stations* of Southern Region,
which may be renewed subject to their performance and the requirement of the
Company, to fill in the existing vacancies as shown below and to maintain a
wait list for vacancies arising in future.

Qualifications:
a) Candidates with valid BCAS Basic AVSEC(12 days new pattern) Certificate: Graduate in any discipline (minimum 3 years duration) from any recognized University with ability to speak Hindi, English and conversant with local language. MUST possess valid BCAS Basic AVSEC (12 days new pattern) Certificate.
Preferable: i) BCAS Certified XBIS Screener(Valid
Certification) ii) BCAS Certified In-Line Screener(Valid certification)
b) Candidates without BCAS Basic AVSEC(12 days new pattern) Certificate: Graduate in any discipline (minimum 3 years duration) from any recognized University with ability to speak Hindi, English and conversant with local language.
Preferable: i) NCC 'B'/ 'C'
Certificate ii) Proficiency in fire fighting iii) Knowledge in Industrial security
iv) Knowledge in disaster management v) Knowledge of unarmed combat vi) Legal
Knowledge vii) Armed forces/Police back grounds viii) Diploma/Certification
course in Computers. In case of Ex-Servicemen - who are graduates, having a
service record of minimum 15 years in the armed forces and who have been
honorably discharged from the services and age relaxation will be given as per
rules.
Emoluments : Rs.18,360/-per
month. On acquiring/having valid Basic AVSEC qualification & X-BIS
certification, additional allowances i.e Rs.1000/- for BASIC AVSEC and Rs
1500/-for X-BIS will be paid as applicable.

Medical Certificate from the Registered Medical
Practitioner, indicating actual height in cms. and weight in kgs. must be
attached with the application (As per the format attached as Annexure 'A').
Selection Procedure: I)
AVSEC CANDIDATES Candidates who fulfill the eligibility criteria would be
required to appear for interview. II) Non-AVSEC CANDIDATES Candidates who
fulfill the eligibility criteria for the post, will have to undergo a Physical
Endurance Test (PET) which requires running of 100 meters in 16 seconds OR 1000
meters in 4.5 minutes as opted by the candidates, on the same day. A relaxation
of 6 seconds will be given to female candidates for running of 100 meters in
PET. This is also an elimination round which takes the candidates to the next
level. Candidates who qualify in the PET would be required to undergo a Written
Test. Those who qualify in the Written Test and fall within the zone of
consideration (1:5 candidates) will be subjected to a personal interview. There
will be no negative marking in the written examination. Written Test and
Interview shall have the weightage of 100 marks each.
Fee : Candidates are also required to send an A/c Payee Demand Draft for an amount of Rs.500/- (Rupees Five Hundred only) in favour of 'Air India Ltd.', payable at CHENNAI, as non-refundable Application Fee (Not applicable for SC/ST/Ex SM) with the application.
