Qualification : A Medical graduate (MBBS) with Post Graduate
Degree/Diploma in Public Health Management/ Preventive & Social
Medicine/Community Medicine or Masters in Public health or Community health or
B.A.M.S. (Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery) or BHMS (Bachelor of
Homeopathic Medicine and Surgery) or BDS (Bachelor of Dental Surgery) with Post
Graduate Degree/Diploma in Public Health Management/ Preventive & Social
Medicine/Community Medicine / Masters in Public health or Community health At
least 3 years post qualification (Post Graduate Degree/Diploma in Public Health
Management/ Preventive & Social Medicine/Community Medicine/Masters in
Public health/Community health) experience in Health Systems Research or in
Planning and implementation of service delivery. Published work in the area of health systems
or public health is preferable. Demonstrated experience in planning and
strategy development with policy and / or demonstrated experience in
operationlising health programme at field level / working in strengthening
district level health systems. Computer
proficiency with high level of familiarity with commonly used packages like MS
Word, Excel, Power Point; any one computerized accounting package is highly
desirable. Good oral presentation and
writing skills. Demonstrated managerial
skills and be able to lead a team.
Consultancy Fees : The Consultant will be paid a consolidated
monthly fees as per NHSRC HR policy (within Rs.44,000/- to Rs. 99,000/-). The
Consultant shall not be entitled to any other benefits, payments, subsidy,
compensation or pension, except as expressly provided in the consultancy
agreement. The consultant shall not be exempt from taxation and shall not be
entitled to reimbursement of any taxes which may be levied as per existing
rules on the remuneration received

Senior Consultant -
Community Process (HQ - RRC-NE)
No. of Post : 01
Qualification : Possess an MSW / MA in Sociology / Post
graduation in Social Science with interest in Community Processes. Have at least 5 (Five) years experience after
post qualification (MSW / MA in Sociology / Post graduation in Social Science).
Experience in implementation of a health programme at the NGO / Community /
PRIs level, and familiarity with the direct implementation of RCH programmes
through field based NGOs, Mother NGOs or in other development sector is preferable.
Experience in training and implementing large scale Community Health Worker
programmes will be an added advantage. Excellent communication and presentation
skills, analytical and interpersonal abilities, excellent oral and written
communication skills in English. Working knowledge of Hindi also desirable.
Computer proficiency with high level of familiarity with commonly used packages
like MS Word, Excel, Power Point; any one computerized accounting package is
highly desirable. Demonstrated ability to work in a multi-disciplinary team. Experience
of working with senior government officials at central and or state level. Good
capacity building skills in health sector. Strategic thinking and leadership
skills. Formal educational qualification and experience could be relaxed when
there is published work of high quality or whenever there is work experience of
specific relevance.
Consultancy Fees : The

remuneration received. *Fee offered within the band will be commensurate

Consultant - Health
Policy and Integrated Planning
Qualification : MBBS
with Post Graduation or higher qualification in Public health, Community
health, Preventive & Social Medicine with a year of post qualification
experience. Or Other non-MBBS candidates with a post-graduate qualification in
public health, hospital management, Statistics, Nursing or related field and
with two years of relevant work experience are also eligible to apply. Work
experience/ Competence in the area of planning particularly at
State/district/block level for health or health systems strengthening would be
an advantage. Computer proficiency with high level of familiarity with commonly
used packages like MS Word, Excel, Power Point & Web surfing to search
relevant data & documents. Above
average writing skills. Ability to work in a team setting. Willingness to
travel to states & districts to provide technical assistance & ability
to work on different assignments simultaneously to meet the timelines for
assignments.
Remuneration Range : Between Rs. 44,000/- to Rs. 99,000/-
per month

Consultant - National
Urban Health Mission (NUHM) under PHA Division
Qualification : Post-graduation
or higher qualification in public health, community health, preventive &
social medicine from a reputed Public health institute. At least 3 years of post-qualification work
experience in NUHM or Health Systems strengthening, program planning or
implementation. Demonstrated experience in operationalizing health programmes
at field level; working in strengthening of district level health systems.
Should have a comprehensive understanding of the various aspects of the urban
health program. Should have understanding on various Ministries & programs
running in urban areas. Good understanding on functions of Municipal
Corporation & ULBs. Should be able to design strategies to achieve program
goals and plan activities towards the same. Competency and experience in
working on urban health issues at program or policy level, monitoring and
evaluation, data analysis, public health administration, governance. Computer
proficiency with high level of familiarity with commonly used packages like MS
Word, Excel, PowerPoint. Demonstrated ability to work in a multi-disciplinary
team environment. Excellent oral and written communication and presentation
skills, analytical and interpersonal abilities. Ability to develop technical
guidelines and documents on urban health. Willingness to travel to states &
districts to provide technical assistance & ability to work on different
assignments simultaneously to meet tight timelines. Educational qualification
and experience could be relaxed when there is published quality work or work
experience of specific relevance.
Desirable : MBBS/
BAMS/ BUMS/ BDS degree. Research experience on relevant areas of public health.
Published work in the area of health systems or public health. Candidates with
prior experience on urban health programs at central level, state level or with
technical support bodies shall be preferred.
