Job Description
Purpose:
The Senior Editor (K-12) reviews and assesses projects for pedagogical value, organizational structure, identification of third party content, costs, formatting/layout and design specifics, and is responsible for confirming and ensuring that the needs of the customer are clearly communicated to the various departments. The Senior Editor is responsible for manuscript and TOC review/development and for ensuring its adherence to specifications, standards and content requirements.
Key Accountabilities & Deliverables:
- A person must be able to edit and present the technical content ( K12 Level) in a simple and effective manner.
- To bring out curriculum-oriented products integrating print and digital resources
- Delivering high-quality products for effective classroom exchange
- To ensure adequate and correct information regarding the products flows smoothly to sales and marketing functions
- Gathering product feedback to remedy or reinforce product portfolio
- Management of the processes to ensure timely and quality delivery
Additional Responsibilities:
- Liaising with authors/freelancers/reviewers and maintaining schedules to meet publishing deadlines
- Supporting the sales and marketing teams during promotions by undertaking editorial travel.

- To bring out quality products that could improve the learner outcomes.
Desired Profile
Competencies:
- Core Technical/Technical Competencies:
- Essential: Experience in content editing/development of IT books for the K12 segment.
- Desired: Experience in the publishing of IT school books or Experience in IT faculty in reputed School, Good creative level of writing.
Education, Qualifications & Training
- Essential: Information Technology Degree
- Desirable: IT Degree
