Job Description

Applications are invited for filling up of 2 position(s) of Senior Project Associate on a purely temporary basis, in the prescribed proforma. The details of the Sponsored Project under which engagement is proposed to be made is as under:

1.Project Code No. : GAP328426

2.Title of the Project : CHO cell engineering for modulating N-glycosylation in recombinant proteins

3.Minimum prescribed educational Qualifications: Masters degree in Natural or Agricultural Sciences/MVSc or Bachelors degree in Engineering or Technology or Medicine from a recognized university or equivalent AND Four years experience in research and development in Industrial and Academic institutions or Science and Technology organizations and Scientific activities and services OR Doctoral degree in Science/Engineering/Technology/Pharma/MD/MS from a recognized university or equivalent

4.Preferred qualification: Doctoral degree (Science/Engg/Tech/Pharma) in Biotechnology/ biochemistry/ chemical engineering or allied fields

5.Desirable experience, if any CHO cell culture, Mammalian cell culture, CRISPR/Cas9 based cell engineering, ELISA, SDS-PAGE, protein expression in mammalian cells, glycosylation analysis, cloning

6.Job requirement:CHO cell culture engineering for bioprocessing applications

7.Consolidated emoluments per month Rs 42000 + HRA

8.No. of positions to be filled up Two

9.The engagement will be initially for a period of six months which may be extended or curtailed depending on the duration of the tenure of sponsored project/ satisfactory performance or conduct of the appointee, as the case may be. The engagement will be purely on temporary basis and shall not be CSIR/NCL appointment, temporary or otherwise and shall not entitle the appointee to any right/claim whatsoever, implicit or explicit, for his/her consideration against any CSIR/NCL post/fellowship.
