Senior Research Biologist job recruitment in  Salim Ali Centre for Ornithology and Natural History (SACON).

Name of the Position: Senior Research Biologist (1 No);

Project : Assessing the distribution, population and habitat use of three endangered species to develop conservation plan for species and their habitats.

Essential Qualification: Minimum second class Masters’ Degree in Wildlife biology/Zoology/Ecology/Life Sciences from a recognized University with a minimum of two years of research experience in wildlife studies after the post-graduation.

Desirable Qualification: Experience in handling GIS and Remote sensing data and software.

Age: Maximum 32 years on the stipulated last date for receiving applications;

Emoluments: 28,000 per month plus HRA;

Senior Research Biologist (3 Nos.);

Project : Developing a conservation action plan for Forest Owlet (Heteroglaux blewitti), a Critically Endangered species endemic to central India

Essential Qualification: Minimum second class Masters’ Degree in Zoology / Wildlife Biology / Life Sciences / Ecology / Wildlife Science / Environmental Science from a recognized University; Two years of research experience in relevant field after post-graduation,

Desirable Qualification: i) Knowledge of Wildlife Biology or Conservation Science, ii) Familiarity with molecular tools and laboratory work, iii) Proficiency in spoken Hindi;

Age: Maximum 32 years on the stipulated last date for receiving applications;
