Name of Post : Senior Research Fellow/1

Name of the Project : Genetic Transformation and Development of Elite Transgenic Maize (Zea mays L.) for Biotic and Abiotic Stresses Tolerance.

Qualification : Master's degree in the Biotechnology/ Agricultural Biotechnology/ Molecular Biology/ Genetics and Plant Breeding/ Plant Physiology or any other branch of life Sciences with specialization in plant biotechnology and 4 years/ 5 years of Bachelor's degree. Candidates having post graduate degree in basic sciences with 3 years bachelors degree and 2 years masters degree should have NET or equivalent qualification. (as per ICAR office memorandum F.No. Agril education 6/2014/HRD dated 13.07.2015)

Desirable : Experience in Plant tissue culture, transformation and gene cloning and transgene construct development.

Age limit : 35 years for men and 40 years for women

Emoluments : 25,000/- + HRA

Or Master's degree in Biotechnology/ Agricultural Biotechnology/ Molecular Biology and Biotechnology/ Genetics and plant breeding/ plant physiology or any other branch of life sciences having specialization in plant biotechnology and 4 years/ 5 years of Bachelor's degree having 1st division or 60% marks of equivalent overall grade point average, with at least two years or research experience.

Desirable : Experience in Plant tissue culture, transformation and gene cloning and transgene construct development.

Age limit : 40 years for men and 45 years for women

Emoluments : Rs.38,000/- + HRA for Master degree holder and  Rs.40,000/- + HRA for Ph.D. degree holder

Name of the Project : ICAR funded AMAAS Project on 'Bioprospecting of microbial products that effects cold alleviation and growth'.

Qualification : The candidates must have passed Master's degree in Agricultural Microbiology/Microbiology/ Agricultural Biotechnology/ Biotechnology (for candidates with 4 years/ 5 years of Bachelor's degree). OR Master's degree in Agricultural Microbiology/Microbiology/ Agricultural Biotechnology/ Biotechnology with NET qualification (for candidates with 3 years Bachelor's degree and 2 years Master Degree). (as mentioned in the OM SR/S9/Z-06/2012 of DST dated 21.10.2014)

Desirable :

a) Knowledge and hands on work experience on isolation, characterization of microorganisms and screening for PGP traits etc.

b) Well acquainted with Molecular techniques.

c) Basic knowledge of computer.
