SENIOR SOFTWARE ENGINEER – GROOVY ON GRAILS
Experience: 3 – 5 years
Job Responsibilities:
- Build best in class application software and services for our SaaS technology Platform.
- Design, code, unit test and debug application features as specified.
- Partner with Software Leads and Product Owner to deliver and gain QA acceptance.
- Leverage Agile principles and practices to deliver the highest possible quality, performance, and feature velocity.
- Work with Agile software team to scope work and produce estimates.
- Leverage technology knowledge to implement product solutions.
Essential Skill Set:
- B.E./B. Tech degree in Computer Science.
- 3+ years’ full stack development experience building testable software
- 2 Plus years’ experience with web-based technologies, such as CSS3, HTML5, and AJAX.
- Strong Java and JavaScript experience, jQuery, Ember JS, Sencha Ext JS, or AngularJS a plus.
- Experience with Nodejs, Spring-boot, Groovy/Grails is a plus.
- Experience consuming RESTful web services with JSON.
- Relational databases (e.g. MySQL) and noSQL databases (e.g. Mongo, Redis) .
- Understands fundamentals of agile methodologies – iterative development, SCRUM, XP, continuous integration.
- Experience using tools such as Jira, Git, GitHub, Jenkins/CruiseControl.
Desirable Skill Set:
- Big Data technologies: Kafka, Flink, Storm, Elastic Search.
- Cloud infrastructures: AWS.
- Selenium driven UI tests.
- Mobile applications development (iOS, Android, and Mobile Web) is a plus.
- An understanding of Telematics, Mapping Applications, or Mobile Resource Management is a plus.
