Job summary: 

• The job of Senior Web Developer - PHP is to develop Web application, Services and maintain existing products. 
  

Responsibilities:

• Contribute to full life-cycle application development including user requirements, specifications, design, coding, testing, debugging, documentation, and maintenance.
• Create web applications/web services using PHP technology on Linux based environments and Apache / Tomcat web servers.
• Creation of design and technical documentation.
• Develop data models and schemas in MySQL for the system.
• Contribute to system documentation for applications and databases
• Create prototypes of user interfaces for evaluation
• Monitor, optimize and resolve incidents of LIVE operations.
• Mentor and guide team of Web developers from technical standpoint.
• Train less experienced teammates.
• Enhance existing development processes
• Is the mainstay/motor for the project’s success

Required skills:

• Expert knowledge of PHP, MySQL, Apache, JQuery, Ajax, JSON and JavaScript.
• Extremely proficient in RDBMS concepts and database optimization. Able to write extremely efficient and optimized queries.
• PHP Frameworks like Zend, Symphony, CodeIgniter.
• Knowledge of Web Services, Protocols and Web 2.0
• Handling application hosted on server farms and deployment strategies.

Desirable skills:

• Working experience of MongoDB, GIT, RabbitMQ,Couchbase, Jenkins, vBulletin and Continuous Integration
• Working experience in WordPress
• Working experience in Agile/Scrum Methodology
• Knowledge of LINUX and production Server operations
