WordPress Developer Duties and Responsibilities:

Working experience with WordPress plugin development
Experience working with any Editor (We are working with DIVI Editor)
Good knowledge of MySQL database
Strong experience of HTML 5, CSS3, JavaScript, Jquery
Ability to convert HTML pages to WordPress
Strong communication skills- having the ability to understand and explain technical issues to non-technical team members
Designing and implementing new features and functionality
Establishing and guiding the website’s architecture
Ensuring high-performance and availability, and managing all technical aspects of the CMS
Helping formulate an effective, responsive design and turning it into a working theme and plugin.
Convert designs into fully responsive websites.
Develop themes for CMS’s – mainly WordPress but sometimes others.
Communicate technical issues to Account Managers
Be hands-on with theme and plugin development with HTML, CSS, PHP and JS.
Use Photo shop to convert PSDs into html.
Comfortable with basic server management – database creation, migrating sites and managing DNS settings.

WordPress Developer Requirements and Qualifications:

5 to 10 years of experience with PHP backend experience
Expertise in Custom theme development in WordPress
Good understanding of front-end technologies, including HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery
Experience building user interfaces for websites and/or web applications
Experience designing and developing responsive design websites
Comfortable working with debugging tools like Firebug, Chrome inspector, etc.
Ability to understand CSS changes and their ramifications to ensure consistent style across platforms and browsers
Ability to convert comprehensive layout and wire frames into working HTML pages
Knowledge of how to interact with RESTful APIs and formats (JSON, XML)
Proficient understanding of code versioning tools {{such as Git, SVN, and Mercurial}
Strong understanding of PHP back-end development
