The Development organization is focused on providing tooling for IBM Public Cloud Service teams. The Development team is composed of highly skilled software developers who have developed core operations tooling which are deployed across many of IBM’s various cloud environments. We’re looking for individuals who are familiar with core development, have strong communication/teaming skills, and are looking to make a difference, by improving the capabilities of IBM Hybrid Cloud to respond to external and internal events.

IBM Cloud has a global cloud presence that continues to grow and expand its reach.
The Velocity team focus on delivering solutions that enhance the interoperability of the IBM Cloud. The team works in an agile environment by delivering solutions with speed and agility. We are looking for an innovative and dynamic ServiceNow Developer to join our team. The Developer will collaborate with other developers to configure ServiceNow platform to ensure it meets the needs of the users. We reach a broad range of customers, so we need someone who can develop solutions that make integrations easy to use and provides procedures that enable our staff to match customers with the products and services they need.
The successful candidate will support the ServiceNow application, end-user inquiries, and work with the architect to develop critical business needs. The developer should be able to develop processes with ServiceNow that improve user access and performance. Collaborate with the architect to establish timelines, implement and monitor changes to ensure a smooth transition and provide regular updates on project status.

Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and support a set of cloud tools/services (UI and backend, microservices and APIs)
- Implement & automat ServiceNow processes and functions
- Transform processes into an automated workflow
- Knowledge of PaaS, IaaS (Softlayer), and virtualization technologies
- Knowledge in J2EE Application Servers - IBM WebSphere AS, JBoss, or Tomcat
- Programming experience with Java, Go, or Python
- Ability to both work independently as well as in a team environment
- Ability to organize and prioritize multiple work assignments
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electrical/Computer Engineering or a similar field
- Experience on applications using cloud based platforms/micro-services.
- Utilize/troubleshoot Blockchain, APIc, IOT, APPConnect
- Working knowledge of Linux/Unix
- Knowledge of Cloud software monitoring in a Software as a Service (SaaS) environment
- Knowledge of business analytics and cognitive computing
- Knowledge of Docker containers
- 3+ years of experience in level 2 customer service software support
- 2 year of experience in Unix shell scripting
- Problem Determination and troubleshooting
- Documenting problem resolution process and procedure
Preferred Experience (2 years or more)
