Ph.D. Program in Department of Chemistry conducts Shiv Nadar University Starting August 2016.
Broad Research Areas Available : Catalysis Chemical biology Cheminformatics Chemistry of nanomaterials , Computational quantum chemistry, Coordination Chemistry , Green chemistry, Medicinal chemistry ,Molecular Toxicology, Polymer chemistry, Structural Chemistry and Crystallography, Supramolecular Chemistry, Synthetic Organic Chemistry
Eligibility : A candidate should (or expect to receive by July 2016) have a Master’s degree in Chemistry or a related discipline , with a minimum of 60% marks or an equivalent grade point. Candidates who have qualified for CSIR-UGC NET-JRF, DBT-JRF, GATE-JRF, JEST, or ICMR-JRF are strongly preferred.
Selection Process : The eligibility criteria mentioned above are minimum standards and applications not meeting the same will be summarily rejected. Short-listed candidates will be required to demonstrate their knowledge through an on-site written test and interview, to be held in May 2016. Selections will be based on past academic performance, written examination and/or interview. Please note that not all candidate meeting the minimum eligibility criteria may be shortlisted.
Application Fees : Candidates will be required to pay a non-refundable application fees of Rs. 1,200 (One Thousand Two Hundred Only) by credit/debit card or Demand Draft drawn in favor of Shiv Nadar University payable at NOIDA
Financial Assistance : SNU fellowship Rs. 35000/Month for max 48 months : Rs. 420000/-
