Ph.D. Program conducts Shiv Nadar University

Eligibility : Civil Engg.: First Division in M.E. / M. Tech. or equivalent in relevant discipline from a recognized Technical Institute or University. OR A good score in GATE-JRF or CSIR-UGC NET-JRF and proven strong aptitude for research is preferred for candidates with B.E. / B.Tech. in relevant branch of engineering or equivalent degree with exceptionally good academic credentials. OR M.S./M.Sc. students are also eligible under special circumstances (if their academic training and research interests lie in geoinformatics, urbanization, air or water quality and related environmental engineering areas). For selection purposes, such candidates will be considered equivalent to B.E./B.Tech. candidates and so must have exceptionally good academic credentials, preferably with a good GATE/.

Selection Process : Eligibility criteria mentioned above are minimum standards and applications not meeting the same will be summarily rejected. Short-listed candidates will be required to demonstrate their knowledge and preparation through an on-site written test and interview. The written tests and interviews will be conducted at the Shiv Nadar University (SNU) campus in Greater Noida, U.P.

Financial Assistance : All candidates admitted to the full-time Ph.D. program will receive teaching/research assistantships of INR 35,000 per month along with the partial tuition and hostel room fee waivers

Application Fees : All applicants to the Ph.D. program are required to pay a non-refundable application fee of Rs. 1,200 (one thousand two hundred only) by credit/debit card or Demand Draft drawn in favour of “Shiv Nadar University” payable at NOIDA.
