Assistant Professor / Research Associate recruitment in Sikkim University on Contract/temporary basis
Assistant Professor
Qualification : Good academic record with at least 55% marks or equivalent grade where grading system is practised at the Master's degree level in Linguistics from an Indian University, or an equivalent degree from an accredited foreign university. Besides fulfilling the above qualifications, the candidate should have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) in Linguistics conducted by the UGC, CSIR or similar test accredited by the UGC like SLET/SET or Ph.D. Holders of Ph.D. degree in Linguistics as per UGC Minimum Standards and Procedures for award of M.Phil./Ph.D. Degree) Regulations, 2009. Desirable: A Ph.D Degree in Linguistics with specialization in descriptive and/or theoretical aspects of the endangered language) of northeast India. Able Lo conduct fieldwork with communities in Sikkim and North Bengal and speak in Nepali/Bangla. Be able to carry out other responsibilities as assigned by the Coordinator/Chairperson.
