Job Description
Praan (Praan Technologies Pvt Ltd) is a cleantech startup incubated at the Georgia Institute of Technology in Atlanta, USA. The mission of the company is that of capturing air pollution from ambient air in cities through the use of its patent-pending technology at multiple altitudes. Job Description
Optimise air flow through different product chambers and test setups
Simulate injected particulates across different wind and cluster conditions
Simulate structural loads on different products against elemental conditions
Generate feasability reports and work alongside mechanical design engineers on design improvements
Recommend manufacturing improvements to operations and manufacturing engineers for improved fluid flow and structural strength
Simulate client sites through real world data
Qualifications:BS/MS/PhD in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering
Minimum 2 years of work experience in CFD and FEA for projects currently implemented in the real world
Knowledge of and passionate interest in thermal analysis and computational fluid dynamics.
Geometry cleanup skills in a CAD package (Fusion 360 or SpaceClaim preferred).
Experience with CFD tools (ANSYS Fluent preferred) for meshing, solving, and post processing.
Demonstrable track record of technical excellence in CFD or related field.
Strong experience in scripting and automation of repetitive tasks.
Expert level Finite Element Model build and analysis skills utilizing software such as LS-DYNA, etc. (ANSYS preferred)
Strong analytical skills to make meaningful conclusions from CAE simulations as well as physical tests. Ability to connect FEA models with the physical systems that the models represent
Excellent communication skills with people of varying technical ability in your field
A strong desire to create the very best product, working as an integral part of a very capable team.
The capability to design experiments to validate your analysis and ideas.
Strong documentation practices
Experience with multiphase flow in ANSYS is highly preferred

Past experience working with a deep-tech hardware startup
Past experience working on rotor blade design in aerospace engineering projects
Past experience with end-to-end hardware product design
Some understanding of systems engineering across the spectrum
