Site Engineer/ Engineering Assistant/ Public Relations Officer   job vacancies in Raman Research Institute

Site Engineer

No. of Post  :  01

Qualification :   BE/BTech in Electronics and Communications or Mechanical engineering. Candidates should have passed their qualifying degree with at least a minimum of 75% marks in aggregate or equivalent CGPA.

Desirable :  Being articulate in reading, writing and speaking Kannada will be highly desirable. Prior instrumentation/managerial experience in equipment design, manufacture and testing will be desirable. The candidates should be motivated, self-driven, possess high academic record as well as practical knowledge, including handling various measurement equipment or manufacturing machines, in their respective fields. They must also possess good skills and ability to manage personnel and follow due procedures. High scores in GATE/GRE and demonstrated interest and ability in management and/or instrumentation building will be desirable.

Pay :  A consolidated remuneration of Rs. 60,000/- per month will be paid to the selected candidate for a period of two years. After two years, based on the performance, the selected candidate will be considered for appointment as `Site Engineer' in the Pay Band of Rs. 15,600-39,100 with a Grade Pay of Rs. 5,400 (plus allowances as applicable to Central Government employees adding up to > Rs. 60000/- pm) which will include a two-year probationary period. Confirmation after probation will be based on appraisal, which takes into account their performance in assisting in the research activities and managing the field-station. A higher initial start may be considered in deserving cases. The pay scales as per 7th CPC is under revision.

Upper Age Limit :  The upper age limit is 30 years, as on the last date for closing of applications.

Selection Procedure : From the applicants fulfilling the essential criteria, those with better academic record and relevant demonstrated experience will be called for a written-test cum interview at RRI. The final selection will be based on their performance in the written-test cum interview process.

Engineering Assistant -B – Mechanical

No. of Post  :  01

Qualification : Diploma in mechanical engineering. Experience in operating Siemens 828D CNC controller, EDING CNC 4.02. Should have expertise in CNC PCB engraving machine and ISOPRO Software. Should be able to operate conventional machines such as Lathe, Milling, and also CNC Vertical Machining Centre, 5 Axis Pocket NC milling machine.

Desirable : Expertise in Aspire 8.0, AutoCAD or similar software

Upper Age Limit :  35 years as on the last date for receipt of application (5 years relaxation can be given to those working in relevant field in research institutions)

Pay :  Pay Band-2 i.e PB-1: Rs.5200-20200; GP: Rs.2400 - Total emoluments at the minimum of the scale: Rs.29,500 (approximately) [pay scales as per 7th CPC is under revision]. A higher initial pay may be considered in deserving cases.

Public Relations Officer

Qualification :  1) Graduate 2) Minimum 5 years’ experience in the field of Public Relations or related activities in the Grade Pay 4600/4800 or equivalent OR a minimum 10 years’ experience in the field of Public Relations or related activities in the Grade Pay 4200 in a reputed government organization / Research institution / PSU. 3) Excellent communication skills – spoken as well as written – in English and familiarity with the usage of official language

Desirable : 1) Post graduation in Management/ Two year Post Graduate Qualification in Communication/ Advertising and Communication Management/ Mass Communication/ Public Relations with minimum 60% marks or equivalent grade from a recognized Indian University / institute 2) Sound time management skills to ensure multiple tasks are simultaneously completed within compressed timeframes 3) Team-oriented working skills 4) Ability to be flexible and open to changing priorities and challenges 5) Experience in Event Management (including press conferences, exhibitions, open days and press tours) & Media Management 6) Experience in updating / modifying / Inputs for information on the website as well as Social Media on need basis

Engineering Assistant-D – Civil

Qualification :  Diploma in Civil Engineering from a recognized Institute with a minimum of 5 years of experience in the construction and maintenance of buildings, including preparation of estimates, work specifications, measurements and billing. Should have knowledge in planning of civil projects such as collecting ground data / information, design of building / hangar / industrial building, estimation, tendering procedure and supervision for timely completion as per the contract condition & norms. Should be able to execute contracts / projects. The work includes day to day supervision, coordination with civil contracts agencies, maintenance of day today civil requirement of the Division etc. Should have thorough knowledge in the statutory requirements like Factories Act, Contract Labour (R&A) Act and related issues.

Desirable : Certificate in Auto CAD Experience in handling horticulture work

Pay :   PB-2: Rs.9300-34800; GP: Rs.4200 - Total emoluments at the minimum of the scale: Rs. 40,500 (approximately) [pay scales as per 7th CPC is under revision]. A higher initial pay may be considered in deserving cases.

Junior Hindi Translator
