Job Description

Software Architect

Location: Noida, India

Responsibilities:

Architecting, developing and launching the next generation rich media platform and applications using cloud based design patterns, doing proof of concepts R & D
Developing and operating a production system, ensuring that all services meet or exceed Service Level Agreements
Serving as technical mentor to the engineers on your team.
Participating in (hiring, coaching and mentoring) a team of high performing software engineers
Managing the day-to-day activities of the engineering team within an Agile/Scrum environment.
Working collaboratively with others on the leadership team to define the priorities and strategies to meet customer needs and business objectives

Required Skills:

BS/ MS / PhD in Computer Science
A deep knowledge of and passion for technology
Go-getter, self-driven and someone who takes pride in taking accountability
Strong technical background with a proven record of delivering innovation
Hands-on experience in architecting, designing, developing and launching enterprise-class software products, Web 2.0 communities, Enterprise 2.0 solutions. Deep knowledge of software architecture principles and patterns
Experience in architecting, developing and launching Facebook Apps, integrating with LinkedIn, Twitter, i.e. social architectures
Experience in building Web2.0 products using Ruby on Rails, LAMP, J2EE and AJAX in Linux environment
Experience in building Rich Media Applications using Adobe Technologies, Java Script and AJAX
Experience with open source technologies and technologies related to content repository, search, advertising, media management, content distribution and data analytics
Experience in estimating software engineering efforts, prepare and execute software development project schedules and Coordinating with product management, web development, sales, ad operations, technical operations, software engineering and QA, engaging teams at the appropriate times
Experience in managing alpha, beta product rollouts to customers and managing customer experience
6+ years of software development experience for internet-based services or SaaS offerings
2+ years as software architect

Desired Skills:

Experience with the Unified Communications Technologies
1+ years in the similar role at leading product companies preferably web2.0 companies such as Yahoo, Google, LinkedIn, BigFlix, Facebook or companies like HCL, GloballLogic who may have done Web2.0 product implementations for their customers
Experience in architecting, developing and launching Mobile Apps
Experience in video/media transcoding technologies
Experience with html 5
Experience with launching new products in the cloud
Experience with the cloud deployments and fine tuning, scaling up/down methods
Demonstrated ability to drive design and architectural decisions for complex systems
