Job Description
What we are looking for:
- We are looking for a Wordpress/PHP Developer.
- Being part of a start-up everyday will add to individual’s learning curve not only in development but also in overall experience of setting things up.
- One must have strong problem-solving skills and independent decision-making capability.
- The major portion of hiring process will be designed to see your candidature fit in the organization.
Required Technical Skills:
- Strong experience of Wordpress/PHP programming, MySQL, XHTML, CSS, Jquery and Javascript
- Experience working with WordPress at a PHP code level:
- Knowledge of existing inbuilt WordPress functions
- Creation of custom post types
- Creation of plugins/widgets written to conform with the WordPress coding standards
- Creation of clean, logical, well-documented and re-usable code
- Theme/Template integration
- Knowledge of WordPress Network (Multisite) beneficial
- Object Oriented Programming
- Data Structure & Algorithms
- Database (Optimizing queries)
- Proven or demonstrable execution of knowledge
- Must have followed agile software development for at least two projects
- Must have understanding of software configuration management like GitHub
- Knowledge of how websites work, how to optimize performance
- Computer science degree preferred.
- Education from Tier 1 Engineering Schools.
Good to Have:
- Design patterns understanding
- Cloud server deployment, clustering, caching, image and media rendering
- App implementation - Gmail like plugin, browser app, social media integration
- Soft Skills - should be versatile and should adapt to needs. Work would demand learning new technologies
