REQUIRED

• BS or MS degree in Computer Science or a related technical field, or related core practical experience of 4+years
• Proven experience designing and implementing high-performance, horizontally scalable, server-side distributed systems
• Technical excellence inJavatechnologiesand exposure to J2EE, SpringBoot, Tomcat or other application servers
• Deep familiarity with design patterns & multi-threaded programming
• Experience with microservices architecture
• Experience with container orchestration platforms (e.g.Kubernetes) and container runtimes (e.g. Docker)
• Experience with public cloud platformsAWSorGoogle Cloud Platform, or Microsoft Azure
• Good knowledge in applied cryptography, Key Management, Identity, Secrets & Vault management, Compliance & Audit
• Working knowledge of internet technologies (TCP/IP, HTTP, HTML, CSS, XML, JavaScript)
• Knowledge of service-oriented designs and techniques (web services, REST, JSON)
• Ability to perform clean RESTful API design and understand the impact of the design on client-side application code
• Ability to work well on an Agile Scrum team, effectively define and scope backlog items, and identify risks and interdependencies early

Preferred:

• Passion and demonstrated experience building business-critical, large-scale microservice systems with extreme availability
• Experience with multi-tenant Cloud application development
• Experience with Kafka, AWS Messaging services (SQS/SNS), or Cloud Pub/Sub
• Experience with Big Data technologies (Hadoop, Mongo, Redis, Elastic Search etc.)
• Experience with CI/CD pipeline
• Experience using tracing and logging systems (AWS Cloud watch DataDog, Splunk, etc.) for monitoring alerts and diagnose production problems quickly
