Job Details:

Job Summary: Performs somewhat complex software engineering assignments following designated standards and procedures. Conceptualizes, designs, codes, debugs and performs development activities in accordance with designated standards and procedures. Works closely with other engineering disciplines. This position typically works under general supervision and direction. Incumbents of this position will regularly exercise discretionary and substantial decision-making authority.

Essential Job Duties And Responsibilities

• Use current programming language and technologies to provide creative, thorough and practical solutions to a wide range of technical problems
• Design, develop and test applications and programs to support the company’s products
• Design, develop and test software programs following established quality standards and in accordance with CTS engineering procedures including coding, unit testing and software configuration control
• Complete high- and low-level detailed software design specifications, storyboards and interface specifications
• Provide support of products through conception to product delivery including problem solving, defect maintenance and support to customer services
• Prepare reports, manuals, procedures and status reports
• Keeps abreast of improvements and developments within software engineering
• May support bid and proposals and customer variation requests
• Supports and coaches more junior members of the team

Qualifications

Minimum Job Requirements:

Four-year college degree in computer science, computer engineering or other related technical discipline.

Essential

Skills/Experience/Knowledge

• Must possess relevant experience in Design & Development of multi-threaded application on devices
• Must have 5+ years of experience in software development in a significant role using the following technologies:
• C++ ,C++14, with Linux / Eclipse, STL .
• Good knowledge in Javascript and NodeJS working.
• Experience of multithreaded application development and Inter-Process communication (TCP/IP)
• Expert knowledge of Data Structures and Design Patterns
• Familiarity in troubleshooting and debugging with tools like gdb, valgrind or similar tools
• Familiarity with Version Control tools like git, bitbucket, TFS etc
• Knowledge of UML modelling, computer logic and flow-charting.
• Knowledge of Shell scripting would be a major plus
