Key Responsibilities:
- Interact with users and gather requirement. Actively build, develop solutions across SDLC.
- Conduct design & code reviews in a Continuous Deployment environment.
- Partner with Global Rates team and the wider Rates Athena community.
- Have a strong focus on quality.
- Write supporting documentation and executable specifications.
- Design technology solutions on different scales.
- Care as much about code quality, test coverage and domain modelling as we do.
- Technical Skills
Must Have:
- Excellent coding, automated unit testing, refactoring, OO design.
- Passionate about programming.
- Knowledge of Python preferred.
- Good understanding of OOPS and experience in one object oriented language.
- Exposure to Test driven development preferred.
- Database : SQL and relational databases, preferably PostgreSQL
Good to have:
- Unix Scripting
- HTML5/ JavaScript/ TypeScript
Behavioral skills:
- Positive attitude inclined to solve problems.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Effective at working in a globally distributed team.
- Desire to learn the business. (No prior experience of trading or finance is required. You can learn the domain by doing, with the support of our internal training programs and experience of your colleagues as long as you are keen to do so.)
