Purpose
Boston Scientific Neuromodulation Division is recruiting for an contractor Engineer to work in the India R&D facility. Under limited supervision or as member of a team; the candidate will be responsible for a variety of tasks related to analyzing requirements, developing software verification tests for windows/mobile applications, generating manual and automated test scripts and troubleshooting. The candidate must be able to interact with cross functional teams on new product development and sustaining projects for class III medical devices.
He/she should be a self-starter who is excited about taking on significant challenges and thrives in an environment where continuous learning is required. This candidate is comfortable communicating to technical peers and enjoys working on small, self-reliant teams.
The individual should be a team player who is willing to collaborate and work in cross functional teams across geographies and cultures.

Responsibilities
- Analyze Software requirements to determine testability, completeness and consistency.
- Perform ripple effect analysis for requirements and design level changes using technical standards, principles, theories, concepts and techniques as they relate to software testing.
- Develop test objective and design test protocols by performing in-depth requirements analysis.
- Assess the need to automate tests and develop either automated or manual test scripts.
- Provide solutions to a variety of technical problems of large scope and complexity.
- Compile data and define changes required in testing equipment, testing procedures, or new testing requirements.
- Provide inputs for test equipment capabilities.
- Provide traceable evidence between requirements and tests.
- Write formal test plans and reports that can be used in submission packages to regulatory agencies.
- Follow established standard operating procedures.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
- 3-5 years’ experience in software verification.
- Experience in scripting languages (preferably PHP).
- Extensive technical knowledge of advanced testing concepts and verification strategies for regulated Software, preferably in the Medical Device Industry.
- Creative thinker and strong problem solver.
- Good communication & interpersonal skills
- Able to handle multiple tasks and projects and switch between them quickly.
- Highly accountable and responsible. Self-starting, self-motivated, self-directed, and self-sufficient.
- Experience using configuration management, requirements management, issue tracking systems
- Familiar with Agile development methodologies.
