Position Responsibilities: Application support - Monitor all production systems regularly on various parameters and make sure they are always available.

Working with market data and experience with multicast/unicast feeds is necessary.
Supporting the application and troubleshooting the data content of a market data ticker plant and who knows market data specifics as well as has operational chops.
Releasing software to production environment
Coordinating with Hardware Support Team for all System Maintenance related issues such as scheduled patching, hardware upgrades etc
Creation and maintenance of scripts to automate repetitive processes
Troubleshooting issues
Excellent written and verbal communication skills is required
Ability to work independently and with the team to complete the projects in time
Ready to work in shifts and on-call

Position Requirements

Good knowledge of Unix platform (Linux Red Hat and Solaris)
Knowledge of any RDBMS database
Good knowledge of application support domain
Knowledge of Unix environment and shell scriptong
Good knowledge of Perl scripts
Experience in working with Webservers – Apache Tomcat
Should be familiar with Java web applications, XML, Cron and Quartz Scheduling
