ESIC Hospital, Ernakulam (ESIC) invites application for the position Full Time Specialist/Part Time Specialist

No of Post: 4 (Four). For FTS – One year on contract or till regular incumbent joins, whichever is earlier. The contract will be extendable for a minimum period of 3 years based on satisfactory performance. For PTS - One year on contract or till regular incumbent joins, whichever is earlier. In case of non availability of candidates in the category advertised, the post may be filled for 39 days through UR candidates.

Department: General Surgery, General Medicine, Radiology, Pulmonary Medicine

Qualification: MBBS and PG Degree or equivalent.

Experience: FTS (entry level) & PTS – PG Degree with 3 years experience or PG Diploma with 5 years experience in respective specialty after PG. FTS (Senior Level) - PG Degree With 5 years experience or PG Diploma with 7 years experience in respective specialty after PG.

Duties & Remuneration:

a) Consolidated remuneration of Full Time Specialist :

i) Specialist (Entry Level -3 year experience post PG as per RR ) Rs.1,06,000/-

ii) Specialist (Senior level-5 year experience post PG as per RR) Rs.1,23,000/-

b) Consolidated remuneration of Part Time Specialist : Fixed Remuneration Rs.60,000/-

Terms And Conditions:

a) Full Time Specialist:

i. Specialist shall be recruited for a period of 3 years with annual evaluation and term renewed every year based on satisfactory performance

ii. Private practice will not be allowed

iii. Available on call 24x7.

iv. The specialist shall be responsible for all cases undergoing treatment under his supervision in his discipline.

v. He/She will be entitled for the leave @ 04 days for each month of work. On prorate basis in a calendar year. In the event, the specialist prefers not to avail the leave, the same may be encashed to a maximum limit of 30 days/year.

vi. The selected specialist must have a professional indemnity policy which should cover the period as desired by ESIC in the bid. The policy is meant to cover professional liability falling on them as a result of error and omissions committed by them while rendering professional services. The minimum sum assured per annum should be Rs.30 lac for Anaesthesiologists, Cardiac Surgeon, Neuro Surgeons, Plastic Surgeons etc. (2) Rs.20 lakhs for General Surgeons, Gynaecologist, Obstetrician etc. (3) for Physicians Dentists, Radiologists, Pathologists etc. It should be at least of Rs.10 lacs. A copy of the Insurance & Premium and receipt must be submitted within 7 days from the date of engagement.

b) Part Time Specialist:

i. Period of contract one year from the date of joining

ii. Minimum working hour will be 16 per week (4 days x 4 hours per week)

iii. He/She will not be entitled for any kind of leave or benefits.

iv. Available on call 24x7 as he will be drawing emergency call charges

v. The specialist shall be responsible for all cases undergoing treatment under his supervision in his discipline.

vi. The selected specialist must have a professional indemnity policy which should cover the period as desired by ESIC in the bid. The policy is meant to cover professional liability falling on them as a result of error and omissions committed by them while rendering professional services. Age Limit: Full Time Specialist – Age not exceeding 45 years as on 17.02.2021. Relaxation for reserved categories as per rules. Part Time Specialist – Age not exceeding 67 years as 17.02.2021.

Application Fees: Rs.250/- (Rupees two hundred and fifty only) for General/OBC Candidates and Rs.50/- (Rupees fifty only) for SC/ST candidates by way of Demand Draft drawn in favour of ESI Fund Account No.1 payable at SBI, Kalamassery.PWD/Female applicants are exempted from Application Fee
