The Sr. SQL Developer will lead the development of new AND the maintenance/optimization of existing Ad-Hoc Queries, Stored Procedures, SQL Agent Jobs, Triggers, Indexes, Views and Functions. This role will also be responsible for installing, maintaining and configuring Microsoft SQL Server database instance with SQL Server Integration (SSIS) and Reporting Service (SSRS). Business Intelligence Development, Implementations, and Data Warehousing will also be key responsibilities in this role.

A Day in the Life

Performance Tuning and Query Optimization using native SQL Server tools
Database backups and recovery, configure replication, db system planning
Ensure performance, security, and availability of databases.
Develop and maintain complex stored procedures
Create documentation and UML diagrams for database processes.
Handle common database server optimization tasks.
Maintain Domo cards and optimized cards already in production.
Maintain ETL processes and code.
Create complex ad hoc queries
Optimize database schemas, maintain database jobs, and dictionaries.
Ability to fix issues related to database performance and provide corrective measures.
Partner with stakeholders to create reports and dashboards for internal departments.
Maintain and develop backend data layer code for internal applications.
Maintain and optimize business intelligence environment (DOMO, COGNOS). (Domo and Cognos is optional)

What Sets You Apart

Ability to troubleshoot issues with the databases and applications within our environment.
Strong knowledge of data analytics and BI tools such as Domo or COGNOS is required.
Must have strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
Ability to communicate effectively.
The ability to reverse engineer and re-write complex queries
Education and Experience

Database modeling, design, troubleshooting, error handling, and hardware planning
Must have working experience of AWS - Redshift
