Direct recruitment of 98 Sr. Ayurvedic Medical Officers in West Bengal Ayurvedic HealthService under the Directorate of Ayurveda of the Department of Health & Family Welfare.

Qualification:
Essential :
(i) A five years’ degree in Ayurved from a University established by law or a statutory Board or
Examining body of Indian Medicine or its equivalent as recognized under Indian Medicine
Central Council Act 1970 and .
(ii) Knowledge of Bengali – Spoken and Written.
(ii) Knowledge of Bengali – Spoken and Written.
Note : Candidate must be registered either in Part A of the State Registrar of Ayurvedic Medical
Practitioner maintained by the Paschim Banga Ayurvedic Parishad or in Part I of the Central
Registrar maintained by the Central Council of Indian Medicine.
Desirable : (i) A Post Graduate qualification in Ayurveda from a recognized University. (ii) Six months experience as House Staff as Ayurvedic Medical Officer in a recognized Ayurvedic Institution or Hospital. OR
Five years’ experience as a Registered Ayurvedic Practitioner.
Age: Not more than 40 years on 1st. January, 2018.
No.of Posts: 98 (UR-46,SC- 22,ST- 08,OBC-A- 10,OBC B- 09,PWD- 03)Desirable : (i) A Post Graduate qualification in Ayurveda from a recognized University. (ii) Six months experience as House Staff as Ayurvedic Medical Officer in a recognized Ayurvedic Institution or Hospital. OR
Five years’ experience as a Registered Ayurvedic Practitioner.

Scale of Pay: Rs.15600-42000
