Job Description
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Preparation & reporting of Product costing MIS and related reports to Management;
- Enable accurate Product costing as per various applicable standards;
- Set-up strong benchmarks to enable product/process cost reduction;
- Informative MIS reporting on all product cost-related areas to enable effective decision making;
- Drive system automation to re-orient business processes;
- Identification of avenues for improvement and driving them for results;
- Drive the external & internal audit environment to achieve strong synergies and progressive efficiencies;
Key Performance Areas, Activities and competencies

Product Cost (including overhead allocation)
Ensure correct update of material master data;
Maintain correct MAP & Standard Price in SAP;
Cost Roll ups activities and analysis thereof;
Consumption Reconciliation;
Under/over absorption of expenses;
BoM reconciliations;

Management MIS reporting
Timely reporting of Management MIS;
Advising improvements/corrective actions for process improvements/cost reductions;
Analyze financial transaction heads to spot process improvement/cost reduction opportunity;

Co-ordination of Cost Audits
Co-ordination with Cost Auditors and other agencies for timely completion and reporting of Cost audit reports & enabling of corrective action of audit observations;

Strong working relationships with Inter/Intra departmental stakeholders
Ensure strong working relationships with Inter/Intra department stakeholders to help built internal competencies;

Others
Driving other processes resulting in achievement of Role objectives;
Functional competencies required:
- In-depth knowledge of Cost Accounting Standards;
- Working exposure to cost audit exercise;
- Detailed understanding of various costing models, cost built ups & overhead allocation;
- Process understanding of material flow through various production stages from raw material procurement to finished goods;
- Understanding of Consumption Reconciliation;
- Detailed understanding of Material Management, Costing & Finance module of SAP;
- Strong Command over MS Excel;
- Adept at report writing;
- Experience of developing & monitoring policies as well as standard work practices for various areas of the finance function;
